Never Approach the Yellow Waterlily, child, for only nightmares will follow suit

Kelpie spends a lot of time underwater, like a crocodile or caiman would. When they can't reach the bottom of whatever pond they happen to be lurking in they use their wings to swim similarly to how eagles swim (if you haven't see an eagle swim, seriously go look it up because it is amazing and hilarious).
